Our lovely team are proud to continually develop the meals we provide and love to put on special events and theme days! Food brings people together and it's wonderful to be able to nurture the children's love of food.
A little bit about the team...
Ben Wallace – Chef Manager

Ben has been at The Mount and with Wilson Vale for six years. He has a degree in Film History from Sheffield Hallam University and Mrs Perks taught him Chemistry at Manor school. Outside of work Ben loves to spend time with his family, as well as going to watch Leeds United..
Janice - General Assistant
​
Janice has been here for twenty one years and is part of the furniture in the school. Janice loves reading, Chinese food and spending time with her family.
Tipsuwan – Boarding weekend chef
​
Tip has been with Wilson Vale for six years. She is originally from Thailand and has lived in York for 18 years. Tip loves cooking and especially baking bread. Her hobby is making different bread recipes from around the world. She enjoys gardening and visiting RHS and National Trust locations around the UK.
Jeanette – General Assistant
Nettie has been with Wilson Vale for five years. Nettie spends her free time looking after her grandchildren and walking her dog. Outside of work she can often be found doing a crossword puzzle on her phone.
Lisa – General Assistant
Lisa has been with Wilson Vale for twelve years. Lisa enjoys reading, walking her dog and listening to music.

Amy – Evening Chef
Amy has been with Wilson Vale for just over a year and has been working in hospitality for the last five years. When not at work Amy enjoys playing the guitar and singing. She regularly
goes skiing with her brother in Switzerland and loves live music. Her favorite food is charcuterie and cheese boards

Dorota – Pastry chef
Dorota joined Wilson Vale in June 2022 as a pastry chef. She really enjoys making delicious desserts and loves learning new recipes. Her hobbies are cake craft and walking her two cockapoos.
